About Me

My passion for marketing and content started when I was just seven years old. I used WordPad to create my own newsletters, complete with stories and images for fun. Somehow, it never occurred to me take this passion and formally study it at The University of Texas at Austin. I graduated in 2010 with a Bachelors of Art with a double major in Linguistics and Asian Studies with a concentration in Japanese. Even so, I've had 10+ years in the marketing industry and I learn more every day through first-hand experiences.

I guess you can say Marketing chose me. If you want to see how, take a look at my journey through my careers. If you want to see my resume, please click the button below.

My Experiences

U.S. LawShield

Marketing Project Manager,

February 2021 to Present

Marketing Coordinator,

June 2018 to

February 2021

Houston, TX

At U.S. LawShield, I am learning how all my skills from previous jobs affect the most important part of any business - the customers.

My main role as Marketing Project Manager is to own a project from start to finish. In order to do this, I have to put myself in the customers' shoes and answer the question, what experience do I want to have when interacting with LawShield?

From there, planning is easier. I can develop the deliverables and task out all the individual pieces to the proper people on my marketing team. Did you know it takes at least 3 teams to create a single promotional email? Copy, graphics, and development, plus additional departments are needed to execute just one direct sales piece.

I take pride in gathering proper requirements and keeping track of all the moving parts of multiple projects at once. My background in the different types of marketing really shine because I have a unique understanding of what each person needs in order to be successful.

In the midst of all this planning and project implementation, the most important thing remains on mind: the customers and their experiences.

LegalEASE, A LEGAL ACCESS Company

Marketing Manager,

June 2018 to

November 2016

Marketing Coordinator,

August 2014 to

November 2016

Houston, TX

I grew so much at LegalEASE by wearing all the unique hats of a marketer while learning about business development and mentorship.

I became a content creator, graphic designer, and brand ambassador while creating a variety of enrollment materials for client companies such as Google, NVIDIA, and Marvell. I also learned how to follow a set of brand standards and disclaimers - all very important for insurance companies and employee benefits.

I was the main support for the sales team by editing white papers, creating presentations, and managing their very robust tradeshow and event schedule.

I even hired and mentored my first direct report all at LegalEASE. I took pride in training and teaching her because it meant that I have marketing skills to share.

My experience at LegalEASE was a whirlwind of robust growth and it taught me that the world of marketing is vast... even if you wear all the hats, or just a few, there is always something new to learn.

Seidio, Inc.

Operations Coordinator,

June 2011 to

August 2014

Houston, TX

I treasure my experiences at Seidio, Inc. because that's where I realized I could have a career in marketing.

I remember sitting in a conference room with the marketing team, trying to create a radio ad script that would introduce the company's first waterproof case. I got worried when my colleagues shared their scripts, which were full of important features like the IP8 and MIL-STD drop test ratings, because my idea was different...

I told a story.

I realized that the average buyer may not know what the IP68 standard meant. What customers cared about was keeping their phone safe from water and falls. I crafted a story to connect with our customers.

In my ad, I reimagined a visit to the beach where listeners could envision themselves among the surf and the sand, worry-free. They wouldn't have to worry if their iPhone got wet, dropped, or scratched. They could simply enjoy their time.

Every company is there to provide solutions - not just a product or service - and they need marketers to tell their stories.
